The thinking around Making's debut album 'Highlife' was all about marrying the ideas of West African rhythms to the band's metal-influenced guitar work. My response to this hybrid was to infuse a distinctly metal colourway with a variety of patterns inspired by the vividly detailed textiles of West Africa. The dense, layered and often chaotic sounds of Making are referenced in the clash of elements which wrap around the sleeve. If the music slithers and groans, then so does the artwork.
